National Institute of Whole Health

Since 1977, the National Institute of Whole Health has provided professionally accredited, evidence-based, integrative, whole health training programs designed to facilitate the practice of health care in all settings to include whole person health care and shared decision making.

NIWH’s educational curriculums incorporate the most current evidence-based research with a comprehensive whole person and natural healing perspective. NIWH educational tracks include a Norman Cousins Award nominated Best Practice model in Whole Health Education, a Whole Health Educator Program for Nurses-endorsed by the American Holistic Nurses Association, a Whole Health Nutrition Educator Program, and a Whole Health Coaching Program, all accredited and approved by leading educational and health care organizations.  NIWH is also an approved provider of Continuing Education for many health care providers including nurse professionals.

NIWH’s internationally recognized programs are offered in a unique distance learning format with optional in-person classes held at network medical schools, hospitals and universities. The core of the curriculum is taught via DVDs filmed at renowned Boston hospitals with nationally respected integrative health, nutrition and medical experts.

NIWH patient education and coaching curriculums provide the student an understanding of how to inform, educate, invite and facilitate their patients/clients to make behavioral changes, improve health and well-being and demystify the cause and effect of health and disease.

These programs are ideal for enhancing the practice of licensed and certified health care or allied health care and health education professionals.
